“The instructors were highly skilled and knowledgable in mental health. They made the course accessible in a easy straight foreward format, they made my input feel easy and valid. Not at any point did I feel unsure or wrong. They made us feel an inclusive group and did not over bombard us with information. Kind caring genuine guys. “Excellent course with a lot of very relevant information. There was a lot to take in but having the manual means that I can go back over things and use the contact addresses if necessary. Ryan was wonderful and very supportive and understanding when my iPad wouldn’t log on properly!”

“Very respectful of participants and each other. Careful to keep emotion out of the course but talked about it effectively. Used the power of silence and humour to good effect. The ALGEE structure is what I feel I needed. Colleagues and patients do seem to open up to me anyway and now I have more tools to assist (and assess possible real dangers for them) Thank you Guys!”

“Ryan and Matthew were great instructors. Very knowledgable, supportive and calm in their manner and presentation. The online aspect worked really well and the content as informative and engaging. The breakout rooms to discuss case studies was a great aspect of the course and kept up my engagement. Regular breaks was good too. The manual is really well presented and is a resource that I’ll return to often and will definitely read in its entirety. The self learning was a good aspect. Thank you!”

“I really enjoyed this course and having attended a few online courses I can say that this was the most seamless I have been at, with many interactive elements. This is good as I tend to get easily zoomed out during Zoom courses. I also enjoyed having the full two days to get familiar with the software, the facilitator and the other participants.  Really good facilitation!

“A very well delivered course, with the right amount of breaks etc to cater for the current home learning experience and having other family members at home. 4x 2.5 hour sessions was just right. I would wholeheartedly recommend this course.”

“Both did a fabulous job of encouraging contributions, but also making sure each contribution felt valued. The smaller discussions and activities keep you engaged, and the delivering style of both Christo and Ryan was excellent. Clearly very knowledgeable of topics covered, but also approached difficult subjects with care, being mindful that many might have their own sensitive experiences. Covering all topics, alongside how to use the ALGEE model in real life situations made it an invaluable course. Excellent Instructors, Brilliant Course.”

“Both instructors were excellent. Especially when dealing with difficult topics. Both emphasised the importance of accepting and encouraging everyone’s views. As well as providing safety for those who feel the need to step away for a minute. They also employed a great mix of self, group and presentative learning which kept the course fresh and exciting. Would definitely recommend this service to companies or individuals in the future.”

“Prior to the course I had a couple occasions where I was in a situation to provide help to people who needed it with their mental health but did not feel confident in my actions or my word choice. This often in turn left me feeling anxious and worried maybe I had not done the correct thing or I had maybe even made it worse for the individual. After participating in the course I have gained new confidence in my own ability whilst dealing with these sorts of situations and now have a grounding/action plan to use if ever faced with this again. I am really grateful for the opportunity to learn these new skills. Both instructors were engaging and interesting, and used good examples throughout the course. Really enjoyed the break out rooms and the opportunity to speak with the other course delegates as sometimes in the online courses this is missed. I also really found it useful having the manual to hand as I enjoy/benefit reading the information as well as listening.”

I also feel a lot more skilled to be able to identify in myself whether I’m on a “maximum” or “minimum” day.
