This one-day MHFA England accredited course qualifies you as a MHFA Champion. This course will equip you with the skills and confidence to spot when someone is struggling and offer support. Throughout the course common mental health topics, such as depression, anxiety and stress will be covered. This internationally recognised course can be done by anyone and is valid for 3 years.
This training will give you:
- An understanding of common mental health issues
- Knowledge and confidence to advocate for mental health awareness
- Ability to spot signs of mental ill health
- Skills to support positive wellbeing


Everyone who completes the course will get:
- A certificate to say you are a MHFA Champion
- A detailed 100-page MHFA England manual to refer to whenever you need it
- A quick reference card for the mental health first aid action plan
- A workbook which includes helpful toolkits to support your own mental health

Course Structure
Our Mental Health First Aid training involves completing 2 sessions across a minimum of 1 day and taking part in a mixture of presentations, group discussions, case studies and workshop activities.
- Online courses – This includes completing 2 live webinar sessions as well as self-learning activities via an online portal
- Face to face courses – This involves completing 2 sessions across 1 day or 2 half days.
Courses are limited to a maximum of 16 people (online) or 25 people (face-to-face)

Our standard maximum number of delegates for face-to-face courses is 12, however if we are able to do so safely, we are able to increase this to 16. For our online courses, we generally limit delegate numbers to 16 people.
For our online MHFA Champion training you must actively take part in both live webinar sessions. For face-to-face training you must take part in both sessions.

You get a 100-page MHFA manual, a workbook and a quick reference card. Upon completion you will be given a certificate of attendance.
Our Mental Health First Aid training is accredited by Mental Health First Aid England.

For the online training you will need a microphone in order to interact within the sessions. You do not need a camera; however, it is highly recommended in order to get the most from the course.
A device that has a good internet connection and a microphone. We also strongly recommend that you have a camera in order to get the most from the course. We recommend joining from a personal laptop to reduce the likelihood of IT departments blocking the live sessions.
Unfortunately, we are unable to edit the MFHA course syllabus. However, we do offer bespoke training courses which can be designed around your organisation’s needs. Please contact us to discuss bespoke training packages.
Public Mental Health Champion courses are usually delivered using Zoom, we will send you a link to join the course after purchase. Private courses can be held on other platforms (e.g. Microsoft Teams) depending on your organisation’s requirements.
